Since 1935 the Surrey Police Retired Comrades Association has been caring for the welfare of serving and retired Surrey Police officers and staff. The association currently has over 1500 active members.

Working within the police service is one of the top ten most stressful professions in the UK and being exposed to some of the worst incidents imaginable can affect even the most experienced police officers and police staff.

After retirement, police officers and police staff, just like all people will require support at some time. The SPRCA operates a network of welfare representatives throughout Surrey and beyond, and has close ties with the Surrey Branch of the National Association of Retired Police Officers (NARPO).

As well as providing welfare services, the SPRCA also keeps retired Surrey officers and staff in touch with each other virtually through social media and email communications, and physically through clubs and social events.
